An Assistant Fashion Technical Designer
needs to be familiar with all facets of the technical portion of creating a Fashion Line,
including Sewing, Draping, Pattern Making, and Computer Skills. His/her responsibilities normally include: creating and
correcting first pattern; creating and specing proto
samples; model fitting and follow-up; sending technical comments to factories; correcting
patterns; creating and modifying computer flats, and grading from the first pattern.
