Mr.
Johnson has been a Pattern Maker for brand names such as Sag
Harbor, Izod, Oscar De La Renta, and Donna Karan.
He has taught courses in Pattern Making, Draping,
Grading, and Sizing at the National Institute of Fashion
Technology, in New Delhi, India, where he was
Associate
Professor for Pattern Making.
He has also created Patterns for Urban Outfitter and
Chico’s. Mr. Johnson was also Head Pattern Maker for
Morzotto Company in Italy, creating Patterns for Missoni, Hugo
Boss, and Ferre Gian Franco. Currently, he creates high end
Patterns for Tapestry International, Bigio Collection, Rebecca
Taylor, and Studio One.
Mr. Johnson is teaching Pattern Making Levels I, II,
and III at NYSD and is a Licensed New York State Teacher.
