Are you creative? Do you love fashion? If so, this is the place for you. Our programs give you the skills needed to tap your ceativity. You will have fun transforming your unique ideas into professional designs and actual creations.
Are you a "hands-on" learner? Our programs are for people who learn best by doing. We have minimized the classroom theory and maximized the active learning process. You will get right into designing and creating.
Are you ready for a challenge? Our programs are intense but incredibly rewarding. At NYSD, there is a lot to learn in a short period of time. We don't waste your time. Throughout the process, you won't be alone. Our friendly instructors and proven industry professionals will provide you with close guidance and invaluable career advice.
As an NYSD student, you will develop the practical skills required for a career in fashion design. You will learn the processes that professional designers use to create their collections. You will gain confidence as a fashion design professional. NYSD is committed to helping you succeed.

Fashion Design & Specializations
High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED). If you do not have a High School Diploma or a GED, please contact us for more information on Ability to Benefit Testing (ATB) options. Please see Program Requirements for additional skills required of specializations. We want you to get the most out of our programs and get right to the fun stuff from day one!
Students under the age of 18 must be at least in their freshman year of high school. If under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must be present at the time of enrollment.
Apply Online or In Person
Receive Acceptance Letter
Once we've reviewed your application and accompanying documents, you'll receive an acceptance letter within a few days of applying.
Enroll & Submit First Payment
Our student advisor will help you finish the enrollment process. You'll receive an enrollment form that will need to be completed before the start of the program.
Along with the enrollment form, students must submit a tuition down payment prior to the first day of the program.
Additional Information for Foreign Students:
NYSD does not participate in providing international student (F-1) visas. Prospective international students must obtain visas on their own. Students with foreign visas may only enroll in part-time programs of under 18 hours per week.
In addition to the above requirements listed, students with foreign visas must submit the following:
• Copy of passport
• Copy of valid visa
Make a Payment Plan
Students wanting to enroll in a payment plan must submit the following documents:
• Tuition Contract
• Proof of address
• Proof of income

We can't wait to welcome you. You'll receive information on attending orientation during which student IDs, logins to our learning portal and emails will be distributed. Additional information about our career support services, supplies, textbooks, and other student resources will also be given.
