Our 3-week Fashion Design Bootcamp is designed to introduce young adults to the fashion industry. This hands-on experience will give them exposure to the technical side of the fashion industry and insight into what it’s like to be a fashion design student.

Through a series of hands-on classes, bootcampers develop techniques for sketching flats, using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, constructing a garment, and understanding fashion trends. Get the inside scoop on what the fashion industry is all about from our instructors who are faculty members at various design schools including Parsons, Pratt, and FIT. In addition to classes at our campus in the Garment District, students will learn even more with fun trips to places like The Museum at FIT.

NYSD’s Fashion Design Bootcamp is perfect for high school students who have an interest in fashion design and want to have some fun while deciding if they want to pursue further education in the field. The tools to take the leap into fashion start here!

Our Instructors

Our team of educators are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of designers. Our faculty members for the Fashion Portfolio Prep are faculty at various design schools including Parsons, Pratt, and FIT. They also work in the industry as patternmakers, costume designers, merchandisers, stylists, and fashion designers among many more.

Our Students

Many of our students come from backgrounds outside of fashion design and do not know where to begin this journey. That’s where we come in. We provide the support and help lead our students to achieving their goals. By the end of the program, they are amazed at how much they’ve accomplished in such a short amount of time.
