Have a blast in the fashion capital of the world and learn how to combine principles of art with elements of design to create your very own outfit with coordinating accessories.

During this fun, fashion filled week you will go on inspiration building field trips, create mood boards with your own fashion sketches, work in a hands-on fashion studio, experiment with fabrics and drape your own garment, sew your design, create a look using your finished piece and accessories, design your own bag, and model your look in Bryant Park and on the “runway” for friends and family.

You'll get to take home:

  • A finished garment
  • A personalized bag
  • A mood/fabric board
  • A photo shoot presentation

Introduction to Fashion Design

Our Instructors

Our team of educators are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of designers. Our faculty members for the Fashion Portfolio Prep are faculty at various design schools including Parsons, Pratt, and FIT. They also work in the industry as patternmakers, costume designers, merchandisers, stylists, and fashion designers among many more.

Our Students

Many of our students come from backgrounds outside of fashion design and do not know where to begin this journey. That’s where we come in. We provide the support and help lead our students to achieving their goals. By the end of the program, they are amazed at how much they’ve accomplished in such a short amount of time.
